Warden Schemes in the West

This document brings together and signposts all the services and strategies provided within the South West Neighbourhood Resource Centre to help make a difference in promoting the concept of wardening and delivering excellent local services to neighbourhood in an appropriate and flexible way. This document outlines key tasks that the Neighbourhood Wardens provide to communities in the South West that reflect national, regional and local issues. These tasks have been developed in consultation with Warden Managers and stakeholders throughout the region to enable Neighbourhood Wardens better meet the needs of their communities. Through regular events and meetings with Warden Managers, local residents and consultations with Government Office South West, Creating Excellence and Regional Crime and Disorder Partnership members and elected members, the South West Neighbourhood Resource Centre will research and develop training programmes that will help enable Neighbourhood Wardens meet these priorities.

The South West Neighbourhood Resource Centre is committed to helping deliver the step change within the public sector to meet the challenges of the changing drivers from central government and our communities within the South West.

Through the quality training and support Warden Schemes receive in the South West region, residents value the services they provide, they contribute to the regeneration of communities in which they serve and have helped improve the quality of life, reduce the fear of crime and environmental improvements around the region.
