Resource Centre Support Services

The Resource Centre provides a range of high-quality support services, including:

Mentoring and Exchanges

There is a great deal of good practice going around the wardens schemes both nationally and regionally, and at the Centre we hope to encourage the sharing of good practice. Mentoring can be provided for warden managers including visits to the Centre and trips out to individual schemes.

Study Visits

The Centre can also facilitating study visits; these visits are to help wardens and warden schemes to replicate best practice and establish strong links between colleagues throughout the country.

Summary of Benefits

The following benefits derived from study visits:

  • Increasing motivation and enthusiasm
  • Establishing links/friendships and fostering a sense of belonging to a country-wide family
  • Gaining knowledge and insight into the operation of other schemes
  • Engendering a feeling of being valued for the work that they do
  • Replicating good practice ideas and projects in other scheme
  • Sharing promotional and marketing ideas

Quarterly Network Meetings

The centre organises quarterly meetings to enable our warden network to catch up with what each other has been doing and share ideas and best practice. Although primarily aimed at wardens these meetings are open to anyone interested in finding out more about, or building closer links with our schemes.

Bi-Monthly Newsletter

Our newsletter is sent to over 1,000 contacts across the South West.  They contain updates on the work of the resource centre and of the warden network.

We also welcome articles from other organisations working in our region.
